The Company Name: First Mortgage
Company Profile: The First Mortgage (FMC) is the first private residential mortgage finance company in Armenia which is licensed and regulated by the Central Bank of Armenia. Since the establishment in 2004, FMC’s mortgage lending programs have been successfully running in Armenia.
Company Mission: Develop Armenia’s housing market through Investing in Communities of Armenia.
Company Goal: Render high quality lending services to satisfy customer’s constantly changing needs and to fulfill people’s dream of buying a new home.
FMC Partners: FMC is engaged in partnership and cooperation with reputable international organizations and financial institutions that implement housing development and housing finance programs in Armenia.
KfW Bank (owned by German Government)/Central Bank of Armenia: FMC was selected as a Partner Financial Institution to participate in a mortgage refinance program funded by KfW bank and administered by the Central Bank of Armenia. The FMC is a leading mortgage lender in this project.
Habitat for Humanity Europe and Central Asia: FMC is partnering with Habitat for Humanity International to originate and service mortgage loans to lower income groups across Armenia. The FMC is the mortgage lender and partner in projects implemented jointly with Habitat for Humanity International and Dutch International Guarantees for Housing Foundation.
OPIC: The Overseas Private Investment Corporation, an agency of the US Government, has started direct disbursement of multi million loan facility to FMC. The FMC will originate mortgage loans to middle and upper-middle income families under this facility. This is the first project of OPIC in Armenia’s emerging financial market.
USAID: FMC has concluded a Portable Loan Guarantee Commitment Agreement with United States Agency for International Development and Development Credit Authority that will partially guarantee multi million credit facility to FMC. The FMC will use the proceeds of the loan to originate mortgage loans to low and middle income families in Armenia.
The FMC is the leading mortgage lender in the regions of Armenia which offers mortgages specifically designed for the bordering villages of Armenia. Families in these communities previously had no access to any mortgage credit.
